Edward K. Matteson

Edward K. Matteson, age 84, a longtime resident of Park Forest, passed away on May 2nd. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Eleanor Matteson [nee Grunlund], loving father of Linda [Jay] Wick, Janet [Eric] Stevenson, Edward R. [Pat] Matteson and Charles [Elizabeth] Matteson, dear brother of Marion Vercelloti and Richard Matteson, cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Edward retired after 30 years as manager from Kaiser Aluminum Company. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Forest, and a member of Masonic Lodge of Matteson. Edward was a veteran of WWII and served as a captain in the Air Force. He enjoyed Golfing and Bowling. Visitation was Wednesday, May 5th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Hirsch Lincolnway Chapel, 3501 West Lincoln Highway, Matteson, Illinois. Funeral service was Thursday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Forest.
