I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Andrysiak. I had her for AP English, and she was without a doubt one of the kindest, most intelligent, most inspiring teachers that I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am certain that she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Dear Ted,
I had the privelege of having your mom as a teacher. I am truly sorry for your loss. She is at peace and will never suffer again. I only just learned of her death today and am sorry I missed the chance to say goodbye to her. The last time I saw her, you were pushing her in a wheel chair two years ago, at the mall during christmas time and you came into the store I was working at, Bath and Body works. She remembered my face and knew my name and it had been 10 years since I had her. She was always good for that. She never forgot a face. I hope for you and your family the joy of knowing you one day will be reunited and she is waiting for you. God Bless and take care.

Mrs. A. was one of my favorite teachers and I often thought of her. She was warm, funny, very enthusiastic, and very sharing of herself with others. My condolences to her family. The world is definitely a brighter place because she has been part of it. QOP Class of 89'

Dear Ted and family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of your mother's death. She was without a doubt the best teacher I ever had: always inspiring, intense, and interesting. She was a true original and an independent thinker. Ted, we students felt like we knew you without ever having met you, because your mother spoke of you constantly. I was delighted to run into your mom at the grocery store a few years ago. She hadn't changed a bit and was still talking about "Teddy"! Please accept my condolences on your immense loss and know that my prayers are with you. God Bless, Ann Haran-Docherty, Class of 1987

Dear Ted,
I had your mom for AP English my senior year at Queen of Peace. She was truly one of my favorite teachers. I remember one class when the two of us spent 1/2 the class talking about one of our favorite authors, Ayn Rand. We had gotten off on a tangent and brought the rest of the class along with us! I remember she told me that Rand's The Fountainhead was one of her favorite books and that she didn't want to read Rand's Atlas Shrugged because she thought it would "ruin" The Fountainhead for her. I encouraged her to read it anyway (since Atlas Shrugged is my favorite book)... not sure if she every got around to reading it.
Please accept my sincerest condolences. Your mom will be missed.

Dear Ted,
I first knew your mom in 1981 when
I first came to Peace. In the years I worked with her, I always thought of her as a friend. She was an outstanding English teacher--especially in literature and literary criticism - and the Amity
was among the most professional student publications that I have seen. Bill Le Jeune

My deepest sympathy to your family on the loss of Elaine. I went to high school with her and was once a close friend. As a young adult she was brilliant and passionate with a very dry sense of humor. She was a great friend.

Ted,
I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I was privileged to be a student in your mom’s AP English class. I also know your family from your days at St. Louis DeMontfort. You were the love of her life – she lit up each time she talked about you! She was my inspiration for pursuing my degree in journalism and was one of my most favorite teachers at QOP. She always pushed us to do our very best and I admired her for that even beyond my time at Peace. She treated us like adults – not high school students. Just a few of the reasons she was so special. She left her mark on many and we will never forget her.

Dear Ted,
I am extremely sorry for your loss. Please take comfort knowing that thousands of women are better people for knowing your mom. I have been teaching high school English for 14 years now because of her inspirational teaching. One thing I have always said about her is that she has taught me more about all subjects than all of my other teachers combined. She will never be forgotten.

Dear Ted,
I had the honor of having your mother as my AP teacher for two
years at Queen of Peace. Your mother was truly a gifted woman and an inspiration to me, and if it weren't for her, I would not be who I am
today. Her gentle soul now rests with the Lord and she will watch over us all. From a blessing on earth to an angel above, she is gone, but not forgotten...this angel has truly earned her wings.....

Dear Ted,
I am real sorry that your mother passed away. She was an amazing woman and the smartest woman I have ever met and she talked about you all the time! She made all of her students want to challenge themselves and never settle for less than their best. She will truly be missed; however, she is now with the Lord.
Love,
Karen

God Bless you Mrs.Andrysiak. I can only imagine you in a beautiful place right now; your effervescent soul flying free and feeling all the joy you created while on this earth. You touched the lives of our entire family, beginning with my daughter, your student, and with myself on our many philosophical e-mails. I will always remember and admire your hope and humor throughout your life's challenge. We were blessed to have you walk through our lives. I will try to smile more when I remember you than shed tears.
