Oh my friend Joannie. Still think of our Washington DC trip during the July 4th celebration for our country. I still say good night to you my friend, after all these years. You and I shared a lot of memories. I sat with you and Cowboy for your first chemo treatment. How I wished and prayed it was successful. Always in my heart.

I always remember my friend Joannie and our crazy trip to DC over the 4th of July. We had such good fun. As I get a wee bit older my thoughts wander to Joannie as she didn't have the luxury of living longer. Sat with her many times during her chemo, along with Cowboy. Love you Joannie and miss you.

Ahh, my sweet little Joannie. How you are missed. Always think of our trip to DC over the 4th of July that year. We really had a great time, even though we walked everywhere we went except to Arlington and Kennedy Center. I would give anything to do that again with you my friend. Love you to pieces.

Joannie and I met when I went to work for Flagler National Bank in 1990 and became instant friends. We stayed close for all those years. She worked out of state and still we remained close. Went to DC over the 4th of July one year and had so much fun. I miss my friend, everyday not just on the anniversary of her passing. Joannie was and still is a shining light, be it here on this plane or on the higher one. Always in my heart. Love you Joannie.

It still hasn't sunk in that you are gone. I am thankful that I got to spend the week with you before you had to leave us. It's a time that I will never forget. You were an amazing person. So smart, caring and full of life. You were taken from us way too soon. I think about you and Mark often and know that going back to our Fla home will be difficult with both of you gone.
I'm going to miss our shopping and lunching date. I know that they say time heals all pain but just as Dominick said seeing your homes everyday is a reminder of you both. I know that you will always be around watching over us all, like guardian angels. May you be at peace. Your friend, Maria

A great friend and neighbor, Joannie was a truly wonderful person who always made time for her friends. I had the privilege of living next door to Joannie, and one could not ask for a nicer person to live next to. She was a very intelligent woman who had a heart of gold. Joannie was the pillar of our community and she will be dearly misssed. Rest in peace my friend and make sure "Cowboy" stays in line. God bless you.

Joannie was the most devoted friend I've ever had. She had a straight forward personality, a fiesty attitude, and a heart of gold. I don't know how she kept track of all of us!!! She was amazing.I still can't believe she is gone. She will always live on in our hearts and minds, but if we all take at least ONE attribute that Joannie had and applied it to our own daily lives, she will live on forever. We all have learned SOOO much from her.
Happy Birthday My Friend.
Love ya

Happy Birthday Joannie! Your light will burn brightly forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. I am so proud to call you my friend and grateful for your friendship. You gave so much of yourself, expecting nothing in return. I will miss our girl chats, your sense of humor, and that megawatt smile. Knowing you has made me a better person...teaching me so much about courage and not to let fear stop you from doing anything.

My heart felt sympathy to all of Joannie's friends and family...we had her with us for a short time but she rocked our world.

Joannie thanks for sharing, thanks for caring and thanks for being you. I love you.

Joannie was such a courageous woman and bravely battled her illness! I so admired her determination to meet every new challenge head on. She was truly an inspiration! Although we didn't get to see each other face to face, we often spent hours on the phone catching up on the latest happenings in each other's lives. She always made my children feel special ~ she never forgot a holiday or birthday. She was such a loving, giving person. I will miss her terribly! My deepest sympathy to all of her family & friends that she has left behind. I take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is truly in a better place watching over us all.
