Dear Kenny Family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. On my visits to Chicago, I looked forward to joining Mary and Bob for Tuesday nights with Lorraine. There was much laughter fixing those suppers and I got to know Lorraine a little more. She was a gracious lady and I will miss her.

My condolences to the Kenny Family.
Lorraine was a wonderful example of strength, perseverance, her Faith and the love of her family.
I worked with Lorraine at Southwest Financial Bank and she was a real joy to be around.
Lorraine was always in high demand -everyone came to see Lorraine to sort out their banking needs.
She was always a bright spirit and had that beautiful Irish smile. She was ageless as well as priceless.
A true lady.
God Bless you Lorraine it was a real honor to have known you!

Please accept our prayers and sympathy at this sad time. I am Dorothy (Dowling) Doyle's second oldest. I remember Lorraine as a child at family gatherings at my Uncle Clar and Aunt Madeline's (my favorite aunt) house and again when I worked in Evergreen Park and she worked at the Concordia Bank. She was always kind and friendly. Always remember the good times.

Just read about Lorraine Kenny's death this evening. Mrs. Kenny was a great neighbor and, more importantly, a very nice lady. The Kenny's were very welcoming when we first moved on Washtenaw Ave. (thank you, Deb). Mrs. Kenny was patient with our parties, gave us a heads up when needed, and always had a friendly smile and hello. As with so many people on Washtenaw, she was very helpful during our time of trial. We tried to find her when my brother, Tom, died in 2003. I know that she liked him. We got our letter back and couldn't find her new address. Good neighbors like her are hard to find. May she rest in the peace that she helped give to everyone else.

As Mary Kenny's sister, I feel so fortunate to have known Lorraine and had the blessing of her company at so many family gatherings over so many years. I cherish too the times I met with Lorraine at Evergreen Bank for financial advise. Lucky me to have had such a reassuring and financially savvy friend to guide me through transitions from high-school saver to college student spender, from first job to second job, from single-life to married life -- She was in on it all and her calm resolve and optimism about the future was inspiring. I will truly miss her and never forget her.
