He served in the Field Artillery throughout the war in the Pacific, finally participating in the occupation or Japan. Upon returning to the United States, Mr. Camp attended the University of South Carolina graduating with a degree in Law in 1949. What a wonderful, kind and generous man, and what a wonderful family. My wife Debbie and I met Bob and his family as their part-time next door neighbors at Lake Oconee. From the start we grew so close to Bob and his wife Betty that we considered them both part of our family. We will always have the wonderful memories of talks around the bon fire during the winter and sometimes even during the summer. It could be 80 degrees and Bob would still want to sit around that fire and talk about old times and would keep us so facinated with all his wonderful life stories. And all the many wonderful memories of Bob working around outside in the yard, he loved to piddle. We will miss you and our love and prayers go out to your wonderful family.
