Anthony Yazzie, 82 of Naschitti, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, in Farmington. He was born Jan. 8, 1929, in Whitecone, Ariz. His maternal clan was Ma'ii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass Clan), his paternal clan was Tsin naajinii (Black Streaked Wood People clan). His maternal grandmother was Totsohnii (Big Water clan) and his paternal grandfather was Tobaahi (Edge Water People clan).
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Desert View Funeral Home of Shiprock, North U.S. Hwy. 491.
Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Naschitti, immediately followed by the funeral Mass.
Interment will be at the Naschitti Community Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Desert View Funeral Home of Shiprock, (505) 368-4607.
