Mildred O. (Newton) Ross
April 9, 1934 - March 19, 2011
Mildred O. (Newton) Ross, 76, of Phoenix, Ariz., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2011, in Phoenix. She was born April 9, 1934, in Erick, Okla., to Weldon O. and Edythe Newton.
She moved to Farmington as a young child and attended Farmington schools. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1952.
She was an avid reader and talented pianist. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Rocco) DiCola of Phoenix; Vicki's daughter, Nanisha Ross of Phoenix; sister, Gayle (Bob) Brown from Peoria; cousins from Farmington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Mountain View Baptist Church, 4233 North 40th St. in Phoenix. Pastor Steve Suttill will officiate.
Arrangements are with Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix, (602) 266-4473.
