March 23, 1928 - Oct. 18, 2010
Ophelia Candelaria, 82, of Bloomfield, was called home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010. She was born March 23, 1928, in Rosa, to Amarante and Carlota Quintana.
Ophelia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe Candelaria.
She is survived by her son, Joe Candelaria Jr. and his wife, Sandra; daughter, Irene Candelaria of Bloomfield; grandchildren, Desiraye Benavidez and husband, Adam, Leandra Candelaria, Joe Candelaria III and wife, Candis, and Veronica Candelaria; five great-grandchildren, Alejandra Benavidez, Emilio Candelaria, Adan Benavidez, Adrianna Benavidez, Abigail Atencio-Parra; step-grandchildren, Steven Lovato and wife Caiti, Gabriel Losoya and Stephanie Losoya; and sister, Inez Quintana.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 21, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, off U.S. Hwy. 64, in Blanco.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Blanco, with Father Bob Matieu as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Raymond Millich, Pete Millich, David Quintana, Jessie Herrera, Chris Marquez and Manuel Gallegos.

We all know how much you loved your mother, and she will be greatly missed. Look to the Lord now at your time of sorrow for you will surely need him. Irene and Joe, I will always remember Prima with all of my heart. Everytime we visited she welcomed us to her home. My Mom, Ernestina would want you to know how much Prima meant to her. You might not remember me, but I visited quite often with my parents. My prayers are with you at this time.
