Rick E. Roberts

1960 - 2018

Rick E. Roberts, 57, of Seguin, Texas, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, after an inspiring and courageous fight against lymphoma. He was born Feb. 6, 1960, in Farmington to Austin Evans and Lois (House) Roberts.
After being raised in Farmington, Rick proudly completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at New Mexico State University. His professional life began in Hobbs working in oil and gas; Rick then moved back to Farmington to embark upon a new career as a stockbroker. After going back to graduate school, he began his vocation serving as administrators for New Mexico State University, Trinity University, and Texas Lutheran University.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, Ellis; and mother-in-law, Shirley Scott. Survivors include the love of his life and devoted wife of 38 years, Dacia Scott Roberts; his beloved children, Elizabeth Roberts and Amanda Bauercamper of Iowa, and Ellis Roberts and Arthur Pike of San Antonio, Texas; his mother and inspiration, Lois Roberts; his siblings, Marsha Daly, Rob and Carole Roberts, and Randy and Joan Roberts; sister-in-law, Donette Wagner; brother-in-law, Steven Ellis Scott; nieces and nephews, Sarah Daly (Lewis Grace), Seth Roberts (Caitlin), Leah Roberts, Scott Roberts (Jennifer), Chad Wagner (Julie) and Chris Roberts; godchildren, Kellyn Tuttle and Sam Stephenson; other numerous family members and close friends, including his TLU and Trinity families.
A memorial service for Rick will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at the First Presbyterian Church, 865 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
