Ronald Bingham Obituary

Ronald R. Bingham, 59, of Flora Vista, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, in Flora Vista, surrounded by family.
Ron, also known as "Ronnie" or "ZZ Top" by many, was born July 3, 1954, to Garth and Myrta Bingham in Farmington.
He attended schools in Grants and Aztec, graduating in 1973. Beginning in high school during his vacations, Ron started working in the oil field. Over 25 years, this career path took him to many of the western states. Later Ron became a shade tree mechanic, working on everything from lawn mowers to D-9 dozers.
Ron and Peggy McCarty met in 1995 and were married Jan. 20, 1999.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Garth; brother, Gary; and sister, Lynda Davis.
He is survived by his mother, Myrta Bingham; brother, Wade Bingham of Flora Vista; his wife, Peggy and son, Tristan of the family home in Flora Vista; son, Shain Bingham of Washington; daughters, Tre Hall of Colorado and Tratan Brenner of California; stepchildren, Mandy Livingston of Aztec, D.J. Fullmer of Flora Vista and Aaron Fullmer of Wyoming; 14 grandchildren; as well as many "adopted" children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a multitude of friends.
His constant companion and loyal friend, Ciarra, was beside him to the end.
Special thanks to his doctors, Dr. Cathcart, Dr. Bush of Southwest Oncology in Durango and to Dr. Richard Keller and staff of Mercy Family Medicine also in Durango, Colo. Thanks to Walgreen's pharmacist, Percy, who has gone above and beyond for Ron for many years. Thank you to the Flora Vista Volunteer Fire Department for the many ambulance calls to Mercy Hospital and San Juan Regional. Thanks to Northwest New Mexico Hospice for the care and compassion in the last month.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, at the First Baptist Church of Flora Vista, 23 Road 3500 in Flora Vista, with Pastor Dennis Vaughn officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.

Peggy, Tristan and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. He was much to young and just reminds us that life is fragile. You are all in my prayers tonight. Ron was a kind and good man and was always nice to my husband and I.

Dad will be missed so much. We will remember all the great times all of our lives until we meet again. It is comforting to know that he will be watching over us all.
