Steve Phelps

Steve Phelps, 57, of Farmington, NM passed away on March 12, 2018 in Farmington. Steve was born August 6, 1960 in Durango, CO to parents Raymond and Loriene Phelps. Steve graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1978. He worked various oilfield jobs, drove over the road trucks and retired from Red Cedar Gathering. He enjoyed painting and restoring old cars, writing songs, playing his guitar and dancing. Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Loraine Phelps; grandparents, Loran and Pearl Day, and Henry and Bessie Phelps. He is survived by his father, Ray Phelps; brother Doug (Terrie) Phelps; sisters, Katrina (Marcelino) Martinez, Terry Chavez; son, Cory Phelps; daughter, Jaki Phelps; step-son, Phillip Brewer; grandchildren, Levi Brewer, Rebecca Brewer, Skylar Phelps; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service for Steve at 10a.m. on Saturday, March 17 at Farmington Funeral Home.
