Jean M. Bunch

ELIZABETH CITY - Jean Odell Moore Bunch, 66, of 207 Rhonda Road, Elizabeth City, NC died Thursday, January 28 at 12:45 p.m. at her home.

Funeral services will be held at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 5, 5-7 p.m. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bunch was a member of the Missionary Board and Deaconess at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church.

The daughter of the late George Lee Moore Sr. and Erma Basnight White Moore, Mrs. Bunch was the wife of Spencer Lee Van Bunch. She had two daughters, Minister Jeanette (Clifford) Shaw of Elizabeth City and Mrs. Mary (Jeffrey) Berry of Upper Marlboro, MD; two sons, Mr. Joseph (Dana) Baker of Burlington, NC and the late Mr. Oscar (Tonya) Baker of Rolesville, NC; two sisters, Rev. Georgia Butts of Portsmouth, VA and Mrs. Mary Jackson (William) of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Dr. Samuel Moore (Pam) of Clayton, NC and Minister George L. Moore Jr. (Deidra) of Eliabeth City; and eight grandchildren, Taje Revelle, Clifford Shaw Jr., Jeffrey Berry Jr., Oscar Baker Jr., Taquai Whidbee, Penelope Baker, Joselyn Baker and Grace Baker.

Prayers and condolences to the family of Jean. She was a wonderful God filled woman with a loving heart. A wonderful singer in her youth at Corner Stone in the Celestial Chorus. Her infectious smile and personality are trademarks she passed to her children. With such wonderful memories celebrate family on a life well lived.
