I will never forget when I met Mrs. Horne at Hillsborough Pentecostal Church, I had stood and requested prayer for her not knowing she was in the audience. I introduced myself and told her that her granddaughter, Nicole was dating my son Gardner and I had offered my home to Nicole when she felt she needed one. We immediately bonded and she hugged me like I was her long-lost daughter! Unbeknownst to me, Mrs. Horne was also close to my daughter Lili and would often make her something else from the school cafeteria if she noticed Lili didn't like what they had for that day and wasn't eating! Lili recognized her immediately in the church service. Mrs. Horne's love and care for her family was blatantly honest and communicated well (you never had to wonder where you stood with her) and the love ran deep! We will miss you Mrs. Horne in Hillsborough. You beat cancer when God called you home and now you are "finally" cancer free! We'll see you again one day in heaven. May God bless you and your entire family! Love, Anne M. Davis & all her children
