Mable Louise (Wilgus) Lambert
ELIZABETH CITY - Mable Louise Wilgus Lambert, born December 31, 1935 in Voorhees, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024 at Chowan Rivers Nursing and Rehab Center in Edenton, NC. She was 88 years old.
Mable dedicated her life to aiding others through her work as an In-Home Aide, providing care and comfort to many. She was also a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness community, living her life with faith and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo Thomas Wilgus, Jr. and Mabel Harter Dougherty; her beloved husband, Charles Fronefield Lambert, IV; and her brother, Leo Thomas Wilgus, III.
Mable leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Lambert of Elizabeth City, NC, Cindy Bates of Texas, and Nellie Mae Baum-Barber of Elizabeth City, NC; her son, Charles Lambert, V, and his wife, Kim, of Hertford, NC; her sister, Lydia Mary Dodd of New Jersey; and her brother, Donald Lee Wilgus and his wife Marie of Florida. Her legacy also includes eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
At this time, no service has been scheduled. The family thanks all those who have reached out with their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Mable will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
