Miles Dunlow Obituary

Miles McKinley "Teeny" Dunlow, 67, of the 1400 block of Paradise Road, Edenton, N.C., died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville, N.C. Mr. Dunlow was born in Bertie County and was the son of the late William Miles and Texanne Mizelle Dunlow. Retired as a superintendent from the former Pelikan Corp., he was the owner and operator of Dunlow Farms in Edenton and was known as "The Strawberry Man." He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Peace, and a sister, Cathleen Byrum. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Shirley Denson Dunlow; his children, Paula Rinehart and husband, Worth, of Edenton, Michael McKinley Dunlow, also of Edenton, Dorothy Foushee and husband, Flint, of Oxford, N.C., Thomas Presson and wife, Gail, of Suffolk, Va. and Jeff Presson and wife, Nancy, of Petersburg, Va.; a son-in-law, Whit Peace of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Doris Lee of South Mills, N.C., and Betty Mizelle of Colerain, N.C.; and two brothers, Sherman Dunlow of Merry Hill, N.C., and Ronald Dunlow of Chesapeake, Va. He was "Pop Pop" to nine grandchildren; Sarah, Erin, Tara, Nicole, Kimberly, Katie, Tommy, Elizabeth and Will; and a great-grandson, Hayden. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Randy Pierce and the Rev. Gene Asbill. Friends may join the family from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and all other times at the residence. Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Edenton, is in charge of arrangements.

sorry to hear of your lost.BE encourged God loves you.HE was a wonderful supervisor at Pelkin and will be missed by many.He was all about laughter and there was never a bore moment around him. Hold your head up and remember God never put more on us than we can bare. LOVE Erma Smallwood
