Ruth E. Blythe

ELIZABETH CITY - Ruth E. Blythe, 87 of 151 Olivet Lakes, Elizabeth City, NC died Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was born December 27, 1929 in Concord, MI and was the wife of Donald Blythe of the residence. Mrs. Blythe was preceded in death by her parents Charles Dryer and Virginia Stokoe, and two brothers Charles Hoaglin and Carl Dryer. She was the manager of the USCG CPO Club, Hangar 7, a member of the Chief Petty Officer's Club, a lifetime member of the VFW Woman's Auxiliary, the Moose Club, and served as president of the National CPOAA.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Ann Miller of Jackson, MI; two sons, Michael L. Eding of Holly, MI and Thomas J. Eding of Jackson, MI; a sister, Cora May Carlin of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Leonard Dryer of Roanoke, VA and Harold Hoaglin of Concord, MIT five grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is serving the Blythe family. You may express condolences to the family by visiting www.TwifordFH.com .
