Steve McDaniels Obituary
Elizabeth City resident
James Stephen "Steve" McDaniels, 58, of 211 Harrell Street, Elizabeth City, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Albemarle Hospital. A native of Pasquotank County, he was the son of Thomas Lee McDaniels and Elizabeth Aileen Creech McDaniels of Elizabeth City and the husband of Jean Walker McDaniels of the residence. He was a sales technician for auto parts and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Besides his parents and wife he is survived by two daughters, Billie Jo Luton and Jessica Jill Dunn and husband, Chris, all of Elizabeth City; two sons, Jered Steven McDaniels and wife, Mika, and Dustin James Luton and wife, Gabby, all of Elizabeth City; five brothers, Bill McDaniels, Mark McDaniels, Woody McDaniels, Eric McDaniels, all of Elizabeth City and Bob McDaniels of Camden; six grandchildren, Peyton Carver, Aalysah McClease, Ayden McClease, Matt McDaniels, Jaythen McDaniels and Gabe Luton. He was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle M. Carver; a granddaughter, Aaliyah McClease; and his first wife, Jill Luton McDaniels. A memorial service will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. David Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence of his son Jered, 113 Hunters Trail West, Elizabeth City.
