Terry Saunders Obituary
LEESBURG, VA - Terry Lee Saunders, age 69, of 19375 Cypress Ridge Terrace, Unit 110, Leesburg, VA, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at Macedonia Disciples of Christ Church, Poplar Branch, NC on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Bishop Mack Freshwater- Pastor and Rev. Elwood Davis as Eulogist. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Poplar Branch, NC. The viewing will be Saturday from 11:00 - 1:00 at the church. Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, Gatesville, NC is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Saunders was the son of Algustus O. Saunders and L. Roberta Saunders and the husband of Vickie Saunders of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 2 sons, Mathew A. Saunders (Lauren) of Coinjock, NC and Terry L. Saunders (Ashley) of Leesburg, VA, 2 sisters, Ida Jones (Christ) of Greensboro, NC and Jacqueline Harvey of Jarvisburg, NC, 5 brothers, Augustus Saunders (Angeronia) and Kirby Saunders both of Poplar Branch, NC, William Saunders (Margaret) and Ronald Saunders (Mary) both of Greensboro, NC and Michael Saunders (Kathleen) of Atlanta, GA and 3 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to the American Cancer Association and Heart & Lung Association. As published in The Daily Advance

I worked with Terry for many years in the Police Department. He was a good man and always had a smile on his face. As a new Officer he was one of the old timers that made me feel welcome. He will be missed by many of us. R.I.P. my brother.
