Willard Rhodes Obituary
ELIZABETH CITY - Willard Morgan Rhodes, Jr., age 81, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was born in Elizabeth City, NC, on August 6, 1944, to the late Willard Morgan Rhodes, Sr. and Marjorie Bell Holmes. Willard was the widower Carolyn Criscoe Rhodes. He was an educator who retired from Currituck County Public Schools.
He is survived by his children, Sydney J. Rhodes (Molly) of Wilmington, NC and Andrew Rhodes of Elizabeth City, NC, and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at West Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Josh Tester officiating.

Willard was a good man and husband to his wife and father to his sons, was at church every Sunday and loved City Road United Methodist. We talked almost weekley and I reallyn enjoyed our conversations mostly about our growing up on Grady Street and all our relatives. Really miss him and may he RIP!

Very sorry for your loss. We knew your parents for over 40 years, from when you boys were associated with our children on up to present time. And all th events in between.
