GREENVILLE -- Alberta Jean Skiles, 91 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at The Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Alberta was born on August 26, 1934, the daughter of the late John T. and Ethel (Garber) Huffman. She was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, M. Keith Skiles, her sister-in-law, Diana Huffman and brother-in-law and sister-inilaw, Ivan (Wanda) Skiles.
Alberta is survived by her children, Mark (Karen) Skiles, Sharon (Steve) Long, Debbie (Steve) Garber, Becky (Larry) Bower and Steve (Colleen) Skiles; sister, Arlene (Verlin) Cool; brother, Marvin (Mary Ann) Huffman; as well as numerous grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Homes, 1499 North Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Shady Grove Old German Baptist Brethren Meeting House, 1887 Beamsville Union City Road, Union City, Ohio with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery, 4764 Clark Station Road, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Alberta's memory to EverHeart Hospice, 1350 North Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
