GREENVILLE -- Becky J. A. Martin, age 74, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Village Green Health and Rehab Center in Greenville.
She was born on September 22, 1951, in Greenville, to the late Paul and Pauline (Lumpkin) Long.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe L. Martin, whom she married on March 31, 1978, and who passed away on November 26, 2016; and her siblings, Paul Long Jr. and Lisa Reed.
Becky is survived by her children, Doug and Beth Martin of New Madison, Polly and Tim Bailey of Union, Ohio, and Sara Horne of Dayton; her grandchildren, Derek and Sierra Martin, Brittany and Richard Johnson, John Bailey, Tyler Martin and special friend, Lily Preston, McKenna Bailey, Avery Horne, and Ezra Horne; and her great-grandchildren, Carter, Kennedy, Cooper, and Kora Martin and Bella Johnson. She is also survived by her sister, Paulette and Dave Hoke of Arcanum; her in-laws, Bill and Vickie Martin of Greenville, Jane and Albert Weimer of Arcanum; and Larry Martin of Greenville, and as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Becky dedicated many years of service to the community as the Director of the Darke County Board of Elections, where she was known for her integrity and leadership. She will be remembered for her kindness, her warm heart, and her unwavering love for her family. Becky spent over 40 years playing the piano for praise and worship for Christ Church and more recently Greenville First Assembly Church of God, where she attended most Sundays. In her free time, Becky enjoyed reading and sewing.
A celebration of Becky's life will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at First Assembly of God, 7219 State Route 118, Greenville, Ohio 45331. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Guests may visit on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, and again on Saturday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Assembly of God, 7219 State Route 118, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
