UNION CITY, IN -- Doris Jean Cole, 74, Union City, Indiana, was found on April 13, 2022. She died of mostly natural causes. She is survived by children Marie Johnson (Greg) and Brian Cole and grandchildren Mica, Josh, and Chanden, siblings Cordelia (Cordy) Wisenbaker, John and David Erbaugh, and nieces and nephews Parker, Melissa, Cassie, Megan, and Aimee. Doris was born in Rosenheim, Germany after WWII, to a German mother and US Army soldier father and moved to the US at age 3. She was a 1966 graduate of Eaton High School. She was married to Kenneth Cole (Lewisburg) for 13 years before divorcing. As a result, she was a single mother before it became common and worked at the Greenville FRAM plant from 1977 to 1986 to support her little family. She enjoyed the beach, 80's hair bands, live music, Harley-Davidson's, dancing, watching TV, drinking beer and smoking a joint with friends. She lived in California, Virginia, Texas, and Florida for brief periods. She instilled a spirit of adventure and risk-taking in her children and said they were her greatest accomplishments. She marched to the beat of a different drummer, and most importantly, she did her best. Doris requested cremation. A Memorial will be held for her on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the Greenville Park, Shelter 4 from 11 am-3 pm. Contact Brian or Marie for more information.

I can remember in high school that when I was in my first theatre production she let me borrow a dress suit to wear and she also came to the play.
I can also remember how proud she was when her daughter got into Honor´s society!
She loved her son to and I can reminder her driving to Dayton just to get him his favorite pizza!
