GREENVILLE — Garry L. Weaver Sr., age 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 1:18 p.m., Sunday, September 9, 2018, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Garry was born February 19, 1943, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Robert and Doris (Riggs) Weaver. In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Richardson.
Garry is survived by his wife, Sue (Haworth) Weaver, whom he married June 14, 1964; son and daughter-in-law, Garry L. and Danielle Weaver Jr. of Greenville; grandchildren, Kelsey Weaver of Key West, Florida, and Zach Weaver of Washington D.C.; brother, Daniel Weaver of Boonville, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Ronald Richardson of Greenville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Robert Nixon of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Garry served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Coca-Cola with 30 years of service and was a truck driver for Bohman Trucking in Russia. Garry was a member of the Coletown Congregational Christian Church and the Greenville Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 13, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Full military honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran's Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care.
