GREENVILLE -- Gregg Allen McGlothin, age 66, of Greenville, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 11, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1959, in Greenville, OH, to the late Dwane Robert and Catherine Elizabeth (Longfellow) McGlothin.
He was a 1977 graduate of New Maddison High School and worked as a machine repairman for over 25 years before retiring. In recent years, he was known as the best pizza delivery man for Petey's Pizza. Gregg enjoyed playing board games, cards, and loved food. He also loved attending church, going to Cincinnati Reds games, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Gregg was a true "people person", one who never knew a stranger. He also had a very giving nature, some might say to a fault. Friends and family will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor, even during times of pain, as well as for the love he had for his canine companion, Sassy, who accompanied him everywhere.
Gregg is survived by his children, James McGlothin and Patricia Johnson; sister, Patricia Barnett and grandchildren, Abbey McGlothin, James McGlothin Jr., and Liam McGlothin. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Shelly McGlothin and beloved dog, Sassy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill McGlothin and Larry McGlothin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1400 E Main St, Greenville, OH 45331. A funeral service will follow at 12:00PM at the church with Pastor Drew Bush officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Greenville, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday between 8:00-10:00AM.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church in honor of Gregg.
