GREENVILLE -- Ronald John Stephens, 88 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025, at 4:53 PM at EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Ron was born September 15, 1937, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Paul N. and Anna (Duvall) Stephens.
Ron served in the Ohio National Guard; he owned and operated Ron Stephens Plumbing, Heating and Air for 32 years; and at the Maid Rite part time for 27 years while he was working his plumbing business. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; the Greenville American Legion; a Charter member of the Rolling 50s Car Club; a member of the Treaty City Motorcycle Club; he enjoyed engine building and was a sponsor of the flat track races.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Rick Stephens; his brother, Richard Overholser; and his sister, Helen Doyon.
Ron is survived by his loved ones left behind; his wife, Alice Fae (Riffell) Stephens of Greenville whom he married July 27, 1957; and his blended family, Rod and Emmie Comer, Ethan Shumaker, Tarryn DeHart, Randy and Teresa Comer and special baby girl Shumaker to arrive soon; and his furry friend Moose.
Services for Ron will be held on Saturday December 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Keith Menter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday December 5, 2025, and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice.
