BRADFORD - Sheryl "Sherry" Kay Pass-Gallagher, age 64, of Bradford, Ohio, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 8, 2014, at her residence in Bradford.
She was born Feb. 15, 1950, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and the daughter of Eileen R. (Jones) Altenberger of Greenville, Ohio, and the late George E. Altenberger Sr.
Sherry was the owner and operator of her own quilting business, known as Garden Gate Cottage Quilting for 10 years, retiring in 2013. Prior to that, she had been employed with several other businesses.
Sherry was a member of the Episcopal Church Women's Group in Greenville, a former member of Rosalie Hoover's Quilting Class and the Greenville Quilting Club.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, George E. Altenberger Jr.
Sherry's survivors, in addition to her mother are her husband Michael Dennis Gallagher of Bradford. They were married Nov. 20, 1993. Also children Tisha (Richard) Lalley of Cincinnati, Christian M. Pass of Arcanum, Maureen Suttman of Union and Sean (Diane) Gallagher of Vandalia; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Dana (Judy) Altenberger of Virginia; sister Anita (Tommy) Welch of Shattuck, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Jerri Altenberger of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial gathering on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions given to the Cancer Association of Darke County. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.zecharbailey.com
