Bettye Ganalon Obituary
Returned to God on November 3, 2007. Bettye was born in Sonora, CA in 1927 and has been a resident of Torrance since 1973. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Bud; daughter, Bernadette; son, Steve; and her new loves: daughter-in-law, Jennifer and grandsons, Shane, Luke and Miles. She also leaves behind many special family members and loving friends.Bettye adored her grandsons, and enjoyed traveling throughout the world and the United States with Bud. She loved singing, especially American Standards. Bettye was very active in her church until ill health kept her away, but she remained a devout worshipper of the Lord. Bettye touched so many lives with her generous and compassionate spirit. She will be in our hearts forever.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, honor Bettye's memory with a contribution to the Southern California Affiliate of Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, or the Oralingua School for the Hearing Impaired in honor of her grandson, Miles Ganalon. Bud,
I just heard that Bettye went home to heaven. How you must miss her! I loved talking with her - she was always so bubbly, optimistic, and encouraging. I'm sure she's singing and bouncing right now, in the presence of our Mighty God.

Dear Bud,
We were so sorry to hear of Bettye's passing but are comforted in knowing that she is in God's kingdom. She was a delight to know. Her uplifting smile, encouraging words, and generous nature were a joy. We have missed her at church and will miss her in this life.
