Bob Sanborn Obituary
A Los Angeles native, as a teenager, Bob delivered ice to homes where skyscrapers now stand. During WWll, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and was sent to protect the Panama Canal. Meeting at El Camino College and working Ski Patrol together, he married Barbara and adopted her two daughters Jan & Susan and later had Braden after building their home in Manhattan Beach, CA. As an aerospace engineer, Bob worked on the Apollo 11 mission putting the first men on the moon. After an amicable divorce from Barbara, he married Paula who he met as his nurse following kidney stone surgery. Including the US in their RV, they traveled the globe together. Bob was a proud Mason. He lived his life a strong independent but gentle genuine man with a big heart.
Bob is survived by his son, two daughters, sister Donna and many grandchildren.
