Clara Satsuko Doi

Clara Satsuko Doi, 84, of Gardena, California, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, December 18 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 1, 1927 in Kunia, Oahu, Hawaii to Sadashichi and Kaoru Yoshikawa. Clara graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute in 1945. She was the beloved wife of Ben Hiroshi Doi whom she married on December 13, 1947.
Clara and Ben moved their family to Los Angeles in 1957 and lived in Southern California except for a 15 year period where they temporarily moved to Layton, Utah.
Clara had a long 27 year career with Bank of America, starting in the check processing department and worked her way up to Account Liaison. She was known as "Grandma" to her family and was loved and admired for her beauty, intelligence and excellent crafting skills in which she was a perfectionist.
She is survived by her loving husband Ben, sons Dennis (Shirley), Kerry, Warren (Lani-Jayne), daughter Jasmine Agena (Wayne), 8 grandchildren Erica, Jaxon, Clarysa Park (Chong), Crystal, Adrienne, Darren, Karina and Morgan, brothers Fred and Henry, sisters Mae and Edna.
A memorial service will be held at The Green Hills Mortuary Chapel, January 7, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. Aloha/casual attire.
