Henia Fishman
October 1, 1937 - September 21, 2021 Henia Fishman, 83, passed away September 21st. She was born in Poland outside of Warsaw and was the only child of Jenta (Yenta) and Aaron Rubin and adopted by a Polish couple who hid her during most of WWII. At 20 Henia moved to the US in the 1950s where she built a family and community. She and her first husband, Athur Ungerleider, moved to Palos Verdes in 1976 where she worked as a commercial real estate agent and raised her daughters. Henia was adventurous and tough. She and her second husband Steve traveled extensively and loved their beautiful Palos Verdes home and garden and the natural beauty of the area. She loved to cook and to eat and always made sure her family and friends were well fed. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and is survived by her three daughters, Judy Hennessey, Sharon Solomon, and Beth Ungerleider, and 4 grandchildren. I played mah jong with Henia for many years, I will always remember her signature flan. The whole group looked forward to her specialty. She was gracious and generous of herself. I miss her. My condolenced to all of you. Esther Abramowitz
