Herb took me under his wing when I was only 29 and bought my first Tiger. He showed up one Saturday morning with his tools and said "let's take out the suspension". He was always generous and patient with me and shared his knowledge. One I still use is "when you work on something, fix whatever is next to it, after awhile it adds up". His only payment was to ask me to take some pictures and write an article or two for his Shop Manual. Herb will be missed.

Herb was my first boss at Teradata. He had high standards, but he was always kind to me.
