Jack Lardy Obituary

Lardy, Jack
10/27/1928 - 9/30/2006
Jack Lardy, husband, father, milkman and mailman could always find someone to talk to. He was never short on words. I don't think there was a little kid, dog or cat he didn't make friends with. Jack was known in the neighborhood for finding things that someone threw away and then gave it to someone else who needed it. He kept a mental list of what someone needed and then found the item for them. Dogs and cats would look for him as he walked. Some said the animals were sad if he forgot to stop and say hello. He loved to brag about his wife and kids and constantly passed out business cards for his son and daughter to help them with their businesses. Jack constantly went to the California Gift show with his daughter, helping pick out new products. He loved old cars, trains, and touring factories to watch how things were made. Jack was trimming his beloved avocado tree Ava in the back yard when he suddenly fell off the ladder and hit his head on the cement below never regaining consciousness. He will Always be missed by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie Lardy of Carson; son, Don Lardy of Buena Park; and daughter, Patricia Lardy of Foothill Ranch. No services will be held at his request. I didn't know Jack but I read his obit and he seemed like such a super great guy. The animals he always passed along his way are truly going to miss him as well as all of his human friends and loved ones. You lost a truly great man & I do know exactly how that hollow feeling in your heart & stomach feels. My love and my heart goes to you all. It is a beautiful obit written with so much love.
