Joseph Drews Obituary

Drews, Joseph
Was born and adopted on July 9, 1939 in Milwaukee. He joined the Lord on December 18, 2006. He grew up in Sheboygan and Milwaukee. He married, had two sons, Shane and Jason, before heading west to Phoenix. There he completed his bachelors degree in chemistry at ASU and had a third son, Aaron. Still feeling called further west, he arrived in Torrance in 1979 and watched Jason and Aaron graduate from West High. He had the pleasure of seeing Shane receive his masters in teaching, Aaron his PHD in linguistics and Jason acquiring an instant family with four children. Joseph also had a phenomenal relationship with his ex-wife (the mother of his three children) and her side of the family; all of whom he cherished. "On your shoulder" Dad. Joe Drews was a very nice person with big heart. The news of his passing is a big shock to me.I recall the days when I came to this country and got job at Paragon.I was very new to this country. But Joe extended all possible co-operations to me. His co-operations helped me to establish myself. I am grateful to him.I pray to God to bless his soul.

Farewell my friend. You were a good neighbor and a great person to talk to. I will never forget the times you spent talking to me while I was laying under my cars fixing them. I will also always remember your kind heart, your care for your sons, and all your stories. You lived a tough life and accomplished a lot, and for that you have my respect and admiration. I will drink a Sobe in your honor and remember to lock the gate to the laundry room. Goodbye Joe.

I only met Joe once & that was when Kathy, his ex-wife & mother of their three boys, introduced me to him in Redondo Beach. I met Kathy when we worked at Phoenix Police Department together. I returned to live in the South Bay area, where Kathy has visited me several times. She is so proud of her boys & I know, from reading all the wonderful things said about Joe, he had to be a loving father & a good man. My heart goes out to the family.

I worked with Joe for about 15 yrs, along with Debbie & Ray at Paragon Laboratories. We were friends for 20 yrs. God could not have made a heart bigger or better than Joe's. He would do would anything for you. His kindness and compassion was God sent. He taught me so much about the business we were in and the computer. I loved him as a friend! We remained friends after I had to retire. I will miss him! His friends & family returned him to our Lord, we will miss him but he is in a better place. My heart felt sympathies go out to his sons & those that loved him. God Bless you Joe - 'Til We meet Again!! Love, Sharon

I have known Joe for a very short time. In that time, I have come to love him as I love my own fathers (all four of them). Although he was very talkative, he was very interesting and had a knack of meeting new people without problems. Joe will be sorely missed but always in my heart.

We also agree that Joe had a heart of GOLD! Our family moved next door to him after selling our home before moving to NY. It is a time we will always treasure. Joe became like family to us. We stayed close and in touch through e-mail and phone calls. We are very sad and will MISS him deeply!
Till we meet again!
Love,
The Maher Family

Mr. Drew was a great guy! I had the pleasure of meeting him on the airplane coming from Texas. I enjoyed his conversation and his smile was Great. He spoke highly of his children. He was Great and now God has another angel at his side. Love you and I am glad you are in a better place. Juanita

Joe was an amazing person with a heart of Gold. I had the honor and pleasure to have him as a great friend who became so much like my family. Our family will miss you tremendously. We always talked about how his nick name was "no One" because no one is perfect, Now as you sit in heaven watching over us, you definitely are. Our prayers are with your family.
God bless
