Kimberly grew up in San Pedro attending Fifteenth Street Elementary, First Baptist Academy, Leland Street Elementary, Dana Junior High, and San Pedro High School where she graduated in 1984. After High School Kim was employed as a tour guide in Yosemite National Park. She then move to Birmingham, Alabama, working various jobs and becoming a die-hard "Crimson Tide" fan. Upon returning to San Pedro, Kim worked at Baskin Robbins (one of her all-time favorite jobs), then as an x-ray clerk at San Pedro Peninsula Hospital and at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Research Department. Budget cuts forced her to find employment as a Secretary/Clerk at the Garcia Law Firm in Long Beach, CA, Computer Clerk at Pitney-Bowes, and finally, as a clerk for the Goodwill Industries, where she worked up to the position of Manager at San Pedro Store before health problems forced her to retire. Per Kim's wishes, her ashes will be scattered at sea with her mother, Karen Anderson, in a private ceremony. A Celebration of Kim's life will be held on Sunday, October 23, at San Pedro Elks Lodge from 1pm to 5pm. The family also request that any donations in Kimberly's name be made to the Beacon House, 1003 S. Beacon Street, San Pedro, CA 90731. The family also wishes to thank the fine staff at Torrance Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care in keeping Kim comfortable and relatively pain-free until the Angels of the Lord came to take her home. Kimberly's all-encompassing smile, vivacious personality and infectious laugh will surely be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Brunac family. I was lucky enough to have worked with Kim at the hospital. Kim was so wonderful , funny and friendly. She was such a smart and beautiful woman, always a great giver of advice, and always honest and real. Her smile was infectious and charming. Kim was a truly kind and lovely person, and I am so sad to know she has passed. I hope it brings some small comfort to her family to know that there are many of us out there who treasure having know Kim and having her in our lives, and we will carry her memory in our hearts.

UNroll Tide! Was always my response to Kim! I will miss our humorous rivalry. I met Kim at Dana and we remained friends through high school. After graduation we lost touch but Thankfully we were reconnected on Facebook about 15 years ago. Kim was my girl. I'm going to miss her tremendously! We laughed about old times and she would rejoice with me when a new grandbaby would enter the world. She had the biggest heart always wanting to help people. My deepest condolences to the entire family and I know she's watching over us. This one is for you Kimmie no one else will ever get me to say this....Until we meet again.... ROLL TIDE!!!! I love you.

I´m so sorry for you´re loss. I only knew of Kimberly though Helen. But I used to hear all kind of good things from when Kimberly was younger. I lost contact with Helen about a year or so ago. I figured she must have passed on. If any one could give me any information I´d appreciate it. Teresa Canavan email [email protected]. Please and thank you.

Words cannot even express the sadness and emptiness that I feel at this moment. I have known Kim since we were little kids. She lived across the street from my grandparents. Since our grandparents took care of my brother and I while our parents worked, we spent a lot of time together. My grandparents had a room near their garage which was underneath my great grandmother's apartment. That was our clubhouse/hangout area. Our siblings, she and I would hang out and just laugh, tease and play together. We would do mini plays and closet karaoke to all of the popular songs of the time, while Kim and I would ogle and smile at the Donny Osmond and other teen idol posters that i had in the room. At her house across the street we would hang out in her father's music room, laugh and tease my brother, sister and her two younger brothers until we had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard. We would often play touch football and tag with our other "19th Street gang," friends, Suzan Felando, Tomislav Roknich, Angelo Logrande, his cousins, and Suzan Felando. I reminisce about those days every day. The best times of my life. John, Rayna, Johnny, and Brian, my deepest condolences, love and sympathy go out to you and your families. Fly and rest with the heavenly angels, dear friend. I will think of you always, especially when i see an ocean view. Your journey in heaven with the Lord has begun. Tell Donna, Bata and Nana Mary hello for me. Love you always

Our deepest condolences to the Brunac Family. Kim will always be fondly remembered especially by me. The 19th street Gang kids playing sports, Barbies in the back playroom with Judge the cocker spaniel, johnny playing drums, johnny and brian on big wheels playing CHiPs and Emergency. Kim and I got especially reconnected when we worked for Pitney Bowes as Deployment Specialists Project Managers. Every time i came to san pedro i would call Kim so we could have dinner at out favorite place Nikos. We would catch up on our 90 day fiance show which was our favorite. Kim was a great cook and we would talk about recipes and sauerkraut the croatian way. I remember when her eyes would light up whe she would see her Bata Matty Domancic. Kim you are with your Bata and your moms. Rest in paradise my friend. I love you so much. Im going to miss you especially every time i come to San Pedro and pass by your house missing our time together.
