Martin J. Bohan

Martin J. Bohan passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 in Torrance, CA at the age of 73. Marty was born on May 25, 1938 in New York City. After graduating from high school, Marty enlisted in the Navy where he worked as an electronics technician for four years on the USS Des Moines. He relocated to California shortly after, where he met his wife, Eileen. They married in 1985 and welcomed their only child, Kate, in 1987. Marty was famous for his Friday flowers for Eileen and ice cream for Kate. Marty and Eileen both worked at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. Marty retired in 2010, spending his free time fighting cancer, reading Sports Illustrated and watching Jeopardy with Charlie the dog. Marty is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Catherine Bohan. He is survived by his wife, Eileen and daughter, Kate. Services will be held at St. Lawrence Martyr Church on Saturday, March 10 at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow at the Bohan residence.
