Pamela Zielinski Obituary

Zielinski, Pamela Ray
1949 - 2006
Pamela Ray Zielinski, beloved wife, and dear friend to all, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006 in her home in El Segundo, California after a long, brave battle with cancer. Born in Lakehurst, New Jersey on April 22, 1949, she began life on a military base with her family. The second oldest of four siblings, she grew up loving horses and the great outdoors. As her family moved around the country, they finally settled in California where she attended Paramount High School, which she graduated in 1967. Her employment as a secretary began at Sargent Industries in El Segundo, California. Later, she moved to other aerospace companies such as Hughes Aircraft and finally Raytheon. Pamela was an extremely hard working lady whose devotion earned her many awards on the job and the respect of many of her colleagues. In 1978 she met the love of her life, Bernard Zielinski at a social function and began a long-term relationship culminating in over 26 years of marriage. Over the years they experienced crazy and wonderful adventures together as they travelled through many of the National and State Parks. Pam loved being with friends and family, enjoyed working outdoors in her garden, and laughing a lot. Later in life she became quite a collector of fairy figurines and lovingly displayed them. She will be sorely missed by everyone lucky enough to have known her. She is survived by her husband, Bernard and his daughters, Kathy and Joanne; her sister, Anita and brother, Raymond, and many nieces and nephews. Viewing visitation will be held at the A.M. Gamby funeral home on Thursday, December 14 from 4:00-8:00pm, and a funeral service on Friday, December 15 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress. Bernie and Family,

Pam was a wonderful and dear friend to me. I will miss her deeply.
We enjoyed our time with each other over some great lunches and during our yearly Xmas shopping. She was a great co-worker.
My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.
