Patrick Klasno Obituary

September 20, 1938 - January 9, 2019 PATRICK WAYNE KLASNO (aka Dad, Grandpa, Poor O Pat, Uncle Pat, Chin Chin, PK), of Las Vegas, passed away January 9, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born September 20, 1938, to Marguerite and Michael Klasno of Muskegon, MI. Pat lived most of his life in Torrance, California and the last 20 years in Las Vegas. Pat went to the "School of Hard Knocks" and graduated with honors. As an entrepreneur, his drive and ambition were realized ultimately through his self-owned company, King Plush, the largest stuffed animal company in the country. Pat's true passion in life, was college, professional football and his first love, baseball. Although he had four daughters, who could care less for sports at the time, they did share in his passion for horse racing and he enjoyed taking them to Hollywood park, as young girls, on weekends to "play the ponies". Pat was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Pat's zest for life and continuous positive attitude was immeasurable and will be missed by all who knew him. Pat is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Scott), Kristine (Jeff), Karlene, Kerri and his adoring grandchildren, Kassidy, Taylor, Kailey, Chaisen, Savannah, Lane, Camryn, Carter and his first great grandson to be born in February. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to support MD Anderson Cancer Institute, Houston, TX or the Ronald McDonald House, Houston, TX.
