Ruben Garcia Obituary
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; his 4 children (Garcia): Andrea, Ruben Jr., Stephanie, and Marisa; 5 stepkids (Diaz): Jose, Sergio, Felix, Fernando, and Claudia; 16 grandkids; 6 sisters; numerous nephews and nieces, as well as many friends and co-workers. He worked for Raytheon (formerly Hughes Aircraft Company) for 31 years. Ruben was a loving man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all.
The Viewing will be on Thursday, May 1st at McNerney's Mortuary, 1640 North Avalon Blvd., in Wilmington from 5-9 pm with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass is on Friday at 12 noon at St. Margaret Mary Church, 25511 Eshelman Ave., Lomita, immediately followed by the interment at Green Hills Cemetery, on Western Avenue, in Rancho Palos Verdes. Martha, I wasn't surprized to see the turn out @ Ruben's services on 5/2 the church was packed, I sat in the back and just felt the love for such a wonderful person,he touched many lifes & will always have a spot in all our hearts..good memories just a great person to work around always so helpful ! Ruben R.I.P we'll miss you. Martha you have a beautiful family God bless you all.. stay strong in the lord. Ruben would of wanted this for you and his children. Dear Martha and Family,
I was shocked to hear about Ruben's sudden passing. I will always remember his smile and great advice. I will miss him dearly. He is in a much better place now watching over all of us. I will pray for you everyday.

Andria, You are in my thoughts, and prayers always. I will never forget your Dad. We were neighbors, and great friends for such a long time. You kids were always at my house, and I loved it. Keep all the good memories of your Dad alive. Ruben always told me how much he loved you, he always said you were just like him, he was very proud of you.
Ruben will be missed, he was a very good Man, good father, the greatest grandpa to Alexandria, and a good friend.
Hang on to your memories Andria, your Dad will be with you ever day watching over you. Keep the oldies going for the Big Guy.

My heart and prayers go out to you. Your dad loved you all very much and he was very proud of each one of you. Hold on to all of your precious memories that you shared with your dad, he is still watching with the big smile that he always had. My dearsest Nino Ruben...You will definitely be missed and I will always cherish the times spent with you and my Nina Sally! I can think of so many times that I was with you and your family during various functions and felt like one of your own children...wait...I was!
