Shelley Romero Obituary
Shelley Anne Romero, a resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. She was born and raised in Torrance, CA. She is survived by her husband, Danny; daughters, Kirstyn and Amanda of Redondo Beach, CA; parents, Neil and Madaliene Haworth of Torrance, CA; brother, Scott (Jeanne) Haworth of Torrance, CA; sister, Susan (Gus) Jimenez of Redondo Beach, CA; brothers-in-law, Nick (Andrea) and Dino Romero of Redondo Beach, CA; nieces and nephews, Stefanie, Andrew, Taylor, Jake, Kevin, Connor, Nikko, Amy, Molly and Brooklyn. She was a niece, cousin and friend to everyone. Shelley was a graduate of West High School and worked for Skechers USA. She was the most giving person and will be greatly missed. She is now a beautiful angel. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 5 to 9pm with a vigil beginning at 7pm. The service will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. The burial will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The American Lung Association, CA. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits. It was an honor to be your friend. Always an event to remember when hanging out. You would never let anyone feel left out. I admire your soul and love you'd carry everyday. I will always remember Shellys smile She Had the same EXACT smile when i met her in our Drivers Ed/Heatlh class back in 81 as when I last saw her a week before her tragic and untimly passing .Radiate is too weak of a word to decribe her smile, There is not a single word to explain on how sad and just disbelieving that she is gone. Dear Danny, Kirstyn, Amanda and Family, I hope you can feel the prayers of so many of us with you at this time. There is a great loss inside for all of us who knew Shelley and grew up with her in Torrance/ West High. The last time I saw Shelley was with Danny at the Kenny Chesney concert. My Prayers go out the Romero/Haworth Family. May they be comforted by the love that surrounds them during this painful time. Shellie had a huge smile and a contagious laugh. I want to extend my deepest sympathy for the family of Shelley. I wanted to share a memory of Shelley but thought it better to let you know how she made me feel. I can remember being a scared sophomore on drill team at WHS and she was this BEAUTIFUL senior. I was intimidated at first but very quickly she made me feel so welcome and was extremely sweet. My main memory of Shelley is her kindness and her smile..... it could brighten any room.
