Ty went home to be with the Lord on August 23rd at the age of 25 in his Manhattan Beach home. Ty was born on July 8, 1989. He attended Meadows Elementary School in Manhattan Beach where he made many special friends. He is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Lynette Cambra; brothers, Lucas (Clariza), Joel (Alexandra) and Ian (Brandi); grandmother, Leonora Cambra; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Ty fought a very long and hard battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (Lorenzo's Oil Disease) and was given two years to live...his strength gave us 15 additional years with him. His 25 years have made an impact on us all. Ty was a wonderful child and great kid with a big heart and had lots of love for everybody and everything. Even though we did not want him to go it was time for him to go home. Rest in peace. We love you Ty... Mom and Dad. To his brothers, Lucas, Joel and Ian thank you for holding his hand and being with him as much as you could, being by his side at all hours and giving him everything he wanted and needed. As heartbreaking as it was for the three of you, you made your baby brother feel loved and safe. We could never thank you kids enough...we love you guys. To all of Ty's nurses, past and present especially Janira, Angeline, Shunnetta, Kim, Sarah and Jessica, thank you for being so caring for and loving our Ty so tenderly, especially during his last days. Thank you to Dr. Jerry Finklestein, Joetta Wallace, Dr. Barry Steinmetz, Nurse Vicki, Dr. Pablo Nagpala, Dr. Frank Enriquez, and Dr. Jean Lake, for doing everything possible to make Ty's life the best it could be.To Journey of Faith, our beloved church family, thank you for standing with us and by us for 15 years with your prayers and support for our family and Ty.
