Art and I sang in the Boulder Messiah Chorale. I did not know he had passed away until I went to the dress rehearsal. I asked where he was and was told he had passed. It was so hard to concentrate on the music because all I kept thinking about was how much I miss singing with him. I cried during the whole rehearsal. I always sat next to him during the performances and had the privilege of hearing his beautiful voice. I know he's singing in heaven. I miss you Art and I hope to be singing with you again in the glory of God. You touched so many lives. I hope you know how much you meant to me. God bless you and keep you. Your friend and fellow singer, Jacqueline Hooper

Art & I were friends throughout our years at Central HS in Pueblo. I was in the Navy 1956-1960 and went to PJC for 2 years before getting the CU in 1962. No GI bill was available at that time and Art helped get me a joy in the CU cafeteria, which got me through on the Boulder campus before I continued on the CU hospital campus in Denver. I'll never forget how I was taught to be a friend. Don Owens

I had many interesting discussions with this very nice gentleman, years ago, when I was driving the Skip. He was quite knowledgeable about so many subjects, and I am very sorry to read of his passing. My sincere condolences to his nuclear family, his church family and his innumerable friends.

Dearest Art, How is it that we always think there will be more time to connect? I love you, I miss you and my heart aches for your wonderful children. Thanks for the love, the laughter, the unfailing support in the times when my life was falling apart. There never was a better friend.

My heart aches at the loss of Art's beautiful companionship. I sang with him in the Boulder Singalong Messiah, and the grace in his life was evident in his demeanor and his conversation. I am confident on his reception into paradise, and I know he is rejoicing in the presence of God his Savior. I look forward to seeing him again in Glory.

My heart was heavy when I hear he passed. But I have so many memories they take up pages to recount. I think the yearly Shakespeare festival was one of my favorites. I will never forget, Art convinced my mother, his then mother-in-law to attend one of the plays. It was Romeo and Juliet. The acting company tried to play it with reality. I will never forget the look on my Mom's face when Romeo climbed out of bed with Juliet, naked. I am remember Art trying to cover his laughter. He was always so kind to me. I will cherish the memory forever.
