Robert Telischak Obituary

Bob Telischak, the son of Alexis and Charlotte Telischak, passed away from cancer at the home of his son. After growing up on the east coast, Bob moved to Boulder in 1967 to attend the University of Colorado, Like so many others, once here, he stayed, in his case for the next 55 years. A gifted graphic artist, he crafted many of the most memorable and recognizable logos and hand made signs that have defined the character of our town. In the late 70s, Bob opened his own sign and graphics company, Omnidesign, providing a place for his employees to grow their own creativity while making a living. In addition to his artistry, Bob was a talented musician, an innovator and an inventor. He had an innate curiosity for just about everything. Bob suffered for decades from chronic Lyme disease and its complications, and discovered that these ailments were not recognized or insured by our health care system. He made it his mission to research alternatives to the limitations of Western medicine. On his own, he pursued more sophisticated laboratory alternatives which at last resulted in the diagnosis he was seeking. It was his passion to share his story in order to help others, and he had written a book on his research that was nearing completion at the time of his passing. Although in his last months the Marshall fire took Bob's home and possessions, his eternal optimism and positivity were inspirational and will live on in all who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his son, Lexis Telischak, brother Jim (Thu) Telischak, sister Deb Moser, nephews Dylan and Chris Moser, and his former wife and friend, Anne Gifford. If you would like to make a contribution in Bob's memory, please pay it forward and donate to a cause of your choice.
