William Peszka

1943 - 2015

William (Bill) Peszka, 71, died on January 11th, 2015 after a battle with cancer. He died during the first half of the Broncos-Colts playoff game after the Broncos 1st touchdown - just how he would have liked. He was born August 2nd, 1943 in Philadelphia to Agnes LaVelle and Herman Peszka. He served in the US Army where he began his career in computer engineering and programing. He was an electrical engineer with Storage Tek in Louisville until his retirement. While living in Colorado he was active in the Coal Creek Men's golf league and later served as a tournament director for Coal Creek Golf club. A long time season ticket holder for the Rockies and Avalanche he was an avid fan of watching all the Colorado teams, especially the Broncos. During his retirement he spent most of his time with his wife, Helen, at their home in San Carlos, Mexico. He was very active in the San Carlos Men's golf league as well as performing in multiple Community Melodramas. He loved his time in Mexico and the lifelong friendships he developed while living there. Bill will always be remembered as a fun and loving husband and father who loved a good joke, golfing, deep sea fishing, practicing his Spanish and traveling around the world. He was proud of his accomplishment visiting all 50 states and his global travels. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Helen, his daughters Dina Long and Nena Peszka, son in law Jeff Long, grandchildren Natalie and Davis Long and half-sister Leona Peszka. A celebration in his life will be held in Mexico later in the year.
