Bonnie Dill Obituary

Bonnie Wright Dill, born on May 24, 1951 in Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She leaves behind a legacy of love, support, and commitment, deeply woven into the lives of her family and friends.

Bonnie embarked on her professional journey after graduating from Burnsville High School, where she excelled academically as Valedictorian and was celebrated as Miss BHS 1969. Her early career began as a paralegal for esteemed attorneys Richard Clark and Steve Jackson in Iuka. After taking a brief hiatus to devote herself to being a stay-at-home mother, she returned to the workforce as a clerk at Dill's Grocery and finished her career as an accounting clerk at Alcorn Industries in Corinth. Throughout her career, she demonstrated unwavering determination and a strong work ethic that inspired those around her.

Bonnie was a proud supporter of her grandchildren, celebrating each milestone and participating in all their activities with joyful enthusiasm. Her personality was vibrant and inviting, characterized by her love for Jesus, her family, her friends, and her country. She was also a fervent fan of the Burnsville Mustangs, Tishomingo County Braves, and the Ole Miss Rebels, proudly cheering for her teams.

Her hobbies brought her immense joy. Bonnie cherished traveling, enjoying pool days, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also loved her "Girls Night Out," and found delight in games of Rummy, dominoes, and croquet.

Bonnie's faith and community involvement were significant aspects of her life. She was a charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Burnsville, where she contributed her time and spirit to serve others.

She is survived by her children, Alisha Dill Whitaker (Heath), Melanie Dill Tapp (Jon), and Shandy Dill (Lindsey), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Tanner Whitaker (Annalee), Brady Whitaker (Jacqueline), Avery Tapp, Cooper Tapp, Charlie Dill, and Mabrie Dill. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Allen Wright, Randall Wright, Linda Holland, Betty Hardwick, and Roger Wright (Maryann), along with sisters-in-law Sue Dill, Donna Dill, and Diane Wright, and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Lynn Dill, and her parents, Robert and Celeste Wright. She also joins her siblings, Jerry Wright and Frankie Wright, in eternal rest.
