Erick Jordan will officiate the service. Visitation is scheduled from noon to service time on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.
Brenda was born March 10, 1963, in Lawrence County, Ala., and she passed away in Corinth on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Brenda was of the Christian faith and attended Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved music, and it seemed to be the soundtrack of her soul. Adventure called to her heart. She once bungee jumped-a bold leap that perfectly captured her fearless spirit and zest for life. Brenda lived like she was dying, embracing each day with courage, humor, and a smile. Saturdays in the fall found her cheering for Alabama football. Brenda's family was her greatest treasure. On your worst day, she could make you laugh. Her gift was simple yet profound: she made people smile, and in doing so, she reminded them of the beauty of life.
Those left to honor Brenda's memory include her husband, Lonnie "Bear" Meredith; sons, Erick Jordan (Tina), and Jake Jordan (Amber); daughters, Shlonda Smith (Dana), Amber Baswell (Jeremy), and Holley Dixon (Rex); grandchildren, Erika Lovelace (Jonah), Shawn Jordan (Samantha Downs), Desley Bobo (Daniel Williams), Cheyanne Crum (Jordan), Jaylon Jordan (Ashley), Jace Blaxton Jordan, Mason Dixon, Jax Dixon, Jett Dixon, Madlyn Dixon, and Ryler Baswell; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Blaxton and Karon Byrd; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Jake and Bessie Mae Peebles Blaxton; brothers, Billy Blaxton, Neal Blaxton and Cecil Blaxton and sisters, Shelia Perry and Rita Williams.
