Services to celebrate the life of Helen Colleen Barton, 87, will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at noon at Memorial Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service.
Mrs. Barton passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka. She was born in Oklahoma on May 10, 1938 to the late Jim and Ellie Carter Crawford. As a wife of a pastor, she moved around a bit and worked various jobs. She worked at Walmart and while in Arkansas she opened her own florist. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and was talented at doing so.
She is survived by her daughters, Terri Austin (Marty) and Sandra Gail Barton; grandchildren, Brendon Christopher Burcham (Josslyn) and Jeremy Barton (Tiffany) and their daughter and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Roy Leon Barton; son, Michael Leon Barton; grandson Kaylin Burcham and his brothers and sisters.
