Ireda Wright Burcham, 90, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was born September 10, 1935, to Dewey and Lillian Wright. She was a member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church where she served with the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Holcut/Cairo Gardening Club. She enjoyed church, socializing, watching basketball and spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 27, 2025, at New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Whitley and Bro. Bobby Johnson officiating. Burial will be in New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. McMillan Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Steve) Maddox, Sonya (Buzz) Sanderson and Tonya (Tony) McAnally; six grandchildren, Tyler Maddox, Mallory (Chad) Willis, Paisleigh (Josh) Gunn, Luke Sanderson, Eli Sanderson and Lila-Grace Sanderson; eight great-grandchildren, Amira Maddox, Adley Maddox, Ashlyn Maddox, Maddox Willis, John Baylor "JB" Willis, Gunner Willis, Pate Gunn and Covey Gunn; one great-great- granddaughter, Nova Ann Iturbide; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Burcham; her parents; five brothers, Horace Wright, Silvin Wright, Aaron Wright, and Thomas Ray Wright; and two sisters, Mozelle Johnson and Virginia Brewer.
A special thank you goes to her caregivers, Teresa Lambert, Rachel Dickson, Kris Voltz, Kimberly Lambert, Jeanell Sims, Anita Bullock, and to Magnolia Home Health.
Pallbearers are Tyler Maddox, Luke Sanderson, Eli Sanderson, Chad Willis, Josh Gunn and Maddox Willis.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Wright, Ronnie Brewer, Charles Johnson, Ronnie Holder, Buddy Hall, Bobby Johnson Steve Wright, Victor Wright and Larry Cox.
