Patricia Karen Steward, 76, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in Corinth on November 6, 1949 to the late Robert Lee and Mary Travis Steward.
Karen was a 1967 graduate of Biggersville High School. She dedicated over 30 years of her career to working at Quartet in Booneville and later served as a hotel front desk agent for more than 20 years.
In her personal life, Karen was a wonderful cook who enjoyed baking and cooking for her family during holidays and family gatherings. She most recently attended Booneville Church of Christ, reflecting her commitment to her community and faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Joyner and a niece, Gale Joyner.
Karen is survived by her brothers, Bryan Steward (Diane) of Frisco Texas and Keith Steward (Cindy) of Rienzi; her nieces and nephews, Paul Joyner (Denise), Emmeline Steward, Chase Steward, Delaney Steward and Will Steward; as well as four great-nieces and nephews, Josh Smith (Paige), Lauren Joyner, Chesne Joyner and Aniston Joyner; two great-great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Karen Steward will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until service time.
Her gentle spirit and faithful nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s or Pinevale Children's Home. These were organizations near and dear to her heart.
