Services to celebrate the life of Maxine Settlemires, 88, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Settlemires passed away on Friday March 21, 2025 at Mississippi Care Center. She was born in Corinth on September 15, 1936 to the late Sherman and Ollie Pearl Corbin. She was a homemaker and member of West Corinth Tabernacle. She loved to knit and crochet but she was known as a good cook and she loved taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rebon Settlemires; grandson, Josh Stephenson; brothers, Chestine Corbin, Earnestine Corbin, Howard Corbin and Gene Corbin; and a sister, Evelyn Hatfield.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Settlemires (Susan), Jerry Settlemires (Nan) and Jan Settlemires (Laura); grandchildren, Jay Settlemires, Chris Settlemires (Emme), Joey Stephenson (Linsey), Amy Harwood (Brian), Melony Kilgo (Scotty) and Stephanie Stewart (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Brayden Smart, Brentley Settlemires, Hannah Grace Allred (Marshall), Gabe Harwood, Seth ones, John Michael Harwood, Taylor Jones, Kaitlin Stewart, John Stewart, Landon Stewart, Lindsey Stewart, Abby Stephenson, Grant Stephenson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bro. Tim Dixon and Bro. Donald McCoy will officiate the services.
