Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Ray Anthony "Tony" Inman, 74, of West Monroe, La., were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, La., with Rev. Jason McGuffie officiating. Interment followed in the Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, La.
Tony was born on October 14, 1951, in Corinth and passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe, La.
Tony was also a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a remarkable member of the Louisiana Tech community, where he was a gifted teacher and researcher, and a steady, positive force for so many people over the years. Tony was a professor of Supply Chain Management/Century Next Bank Endowed Professor. He loved sharing his time with students in the classroom, having lunch with dear friends and coworkers, playing tennis and guitar, and spending time with family.
Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Lewell Farris Inman.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Inman; son Anthony "Grant" Inman and partner Rachel McClure; stepchildren Laurel Sampognaro and husband Mike, and Carlie Andrews; grandchildren Mollie Andrews and Teagan Inman; uncle Aaron Farris; and niece Cassie Farris.
Pallbearers were Tim Barnett, Bryan Fuller, Steve Hearne, Mike Sampognaro, David Trussell and Matt Turpin.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. to service time on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First West or the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
